A paradise of emerald bright blue waters, Koufonisia islands are located between Naxos and Amorgos. Koufonisia consists of two islets, Ano Koufonisi (Upper Koufonisi) and Kato Koufonisi (Lower Koufonisi) which remains still uninhabited.
Ano Koufonisi has just 366 inhabitants who mainly live in the charming fishing village of Hora. During the summer the island is full of life as laid-back visitors enjoy their evenings in local seafood tavernas and beautiful bars that are hidden in its narrow, whitewashed alleys.
Numerous sandy beaches with crystal clear waters span across the southeastern part of the island, with the best of all being Pori, a seductive beach that looks like a huge swimming pool. Pori is one of the favorite destinations for sailing boats and swimmers, who visit Pori to admire its unreal turquoise waters.
